What's that? A fannish post?

I know, try to contain your shock. *g* After a very long nap and some food, I'm feeling almost human. God bless sick days. A nice side effect of riding the couch all day? Spamming the flist! I know you're excited.

Apparently, I disturbed [livejournal.com profile] em_meredith's chi earlier, so this list shall be even numbered.

1. I watched two episodes of Dawson's Creek this morning. I tried when I borrowed [livejournal.com profile] em_meredith's DVD's earlier this summer, but I just couldn't do it. This morning, I was too sick to really care what I was watching, and found myself sucked in. Dawson drove me insane, but that Pacey is a cutie. I may have to TiVo this one.

2. I have also watched much Buffy today, I've been TiVoing the reruns of season 6, and season 7 just started. I <3 Giles. Not the way I <3 Spike, but I forgot how much I enjoyed Giles. I'm also feeling the desire for Spuffy fic.

3. New sides for Grey's Anatomy came out yesterday, and one of the roles is freaking weird. There are pages for the role of a psychiatrist - a marriage counselor. His patients? Two surgeons named Sam and Dana. Who the hell are Sam and Dana? Their situation strangely mirrors Derek/Addison, but not really. I may post them here later to get other opinions. Definitely a WTF moment.

4. As for Alias... honestly? I feel...absolutely nothing. If anything, I'm relieved that I won't feel guilty not watching this fall. Michael Vartan is a big draw for me, but he's never been the only reason I watched. The Syd/Vaughn romance was my major motivation for watching, but I really did enjoy the show as a whole. I hung in through the horror of season 3, and while I was underwhelmed by season 4, it wasn't awful and I held out hope for season 5. However, if they're killing off Vaughn, there's just no way the story could ever be resolved to my satisfaction. With Weiss gone, Nadia gone, and the introduction of all sorts of new characters, this just isn't the show I fell in love with. So I'll spare myself and just not watch. I am a little sad that they've managed to royally fuck up a show that I used to adore, but I feel like I moved on a long time ago. And I have to laugh at all of the idiots (mostly at Celebrity Brain) that have concocted this huge Affleck/Garner/Olin conspiracy theory about the whole thing. I'll still be watching Lost, and God knows the McDreamy will keep me coming back for more GA. Maybe I'll even pick up a pilot. I'm strangely interested in Commander in Chief, if for no other reason than they do some of the filming here in Richmond.

I wonder if there's anything productive I could do this afternoon. Since I'm taking PTO today, there's no way I'm doing work. I have people I need to call, but the fact that I have no voice might make that a wee bit difficult. And I'm still feeling kind of gross. Maybe I'll just rest some more

I liked the pilot although it freaked me out. I think I will tune in again. :)

Since I don't get the WB, I have to go through all sorts of gymnastics to see the episodes, either download them or TiVo the 2:30am airing on NBC (usually a week after the original airing). So, generally, I don't get into WB shows.

And hey, Miss WB connected! Send a message up the food chain that Richmond needs a WB affiliate. *g* (just kidding)
