I discovered a new fandom, how long did you think it would take for fic recs?  Hee!  I read a couple of Gilmore Girls fics in the last few days that just should not be missed.

The Presence of Absence by Lula and all things holy.  This is the best fic in any fandom I've read in a while.  The writing is so tight you could bounce a quarter off it.  The story itself is heartwrenching and bittersweet and so raw it brought tears to my eyes more than once.  By the end, I was crying outright.  Run, do not walk, to read this.

More by netherfield.  A series of post-eps for season 5, I just finished the 3rd installment (post WITS) and it completely fulfilled my "missing scene" desire for that episode.  Not that I wouldn't love to read about 100 more.

ciachick711 also wrote a post-WITS, Something Old, Something New.  It's an absolutely wonderful continuation of the episode.
