Before I forget: Happy birthday
bottleredhead!
I'm bored, but I don't feel like doing anything. I hate that feeling.
My holiday weekend has been pretty uneventful. I went into work for a few hours today, but still didn't finish what I needed to finish. I would have been done with this a week ago, had I not believed someone when they said "oh! I have all the information you need on that". Except for the part where they didn't Grrrr..... So, I will be taking my laptop on the train to DC tomorrow and lugging it all the fuck over so I can finish this proposal by Wednesday. Not a happy camper. I could be working on it now, but I can't focus on legislative language at 9:00 pm. Just can't!
Anyway, went a little crazy at Petite Sophisticate yesterday. I have such a hard time finding clothes that (a) fit (b) are flattering and (c) I like, so when I find them, I go all out. $600 later....Ouch. I was desperate for some new suits, though, so I'm thrilled that I found some. I got this black and white birdseye, which I can wear as a suit, but also mix and match the pieces with my black suit. And because I'm sick of black and navy, I've been searching for a chocolate brown suit for 2 years. Victory is finally mine! I bought this with the matching skirt and pants. Since I now have a chocolate blazer, I had to get some coordinating herringbone pants as well. I also bought a pink silk sweater to go under the chocolate suit, but it was on sale for $5. How could I pass it up? I think that's all I got, but there was so much I can't remember.
Off to DC in the morning. Just for the day, unfortuately. I was hoping to stay over, but I have meetings in Richmond on Wednesday that I can't miss, so it's going to be a hellishly LONG day. But at least I'll look snazzy in my new clothes. ;)
ETA: I forgot the most important part of my shopping expedition yesterday: I WENT DOWN A SIZE! The 10 pounds I lost is finally staying gone (I go up and down for a while before it stays gone for good). Woot!
