I JUST SAW 13 Going ON 30!!!
*ahem* sorry. No more shouting.
It was wonderful....adorable...if anyone had doubts that Jennifer Garner could do comedy, this movie would definitely dispel them. Overall, it was a pretty typical romantic comedy. But Jennifer absolutely shined. It's almost 9:30, and I still have to fold and put away laundry tonight, so I'm just going to give the highlights of my fangirl experience:
( 13 Going on 30 Spoilers )
My love for all things Jennifer should be pretty apparent to all by now. I knew I was going to love this movie even if it stunk to high heaven. I was really interested in how the movie was received by the others in the theater. There was absolutely NO promotion for the sneak preview, and the theater was still almost full. People were laughing out loud, clapping along in spots, and cheering in certain places.
Bottom line? Jennifer was perfect as a 13 year old in a woman's body. She's not going to win an Oscar, but I think alot of the reason she did this movie was to prove that she can do more than kick ass. My goodness, can she!! In a lot of ways, comedy is harder than drama, and her timing was spot on. She really sold the performance.
I'm sure I have more thoughts on this, but I'm brain dead. SQUEEEEEEEE!!! I wanna see it again!!!
