If the girl is around 10 or 11, that probably means that he met/knew her mother around the time that Rachel left? Is my math right? (Its hard to know in Gilmore land.) I doubt they'll even think of that or have it play into it at all, but that would be interesting.
I was wondering if it would turn out to be Rachel's daughter. But that might be weird that she had showed up again in season 1 and never mentioned she had a 5-year-old daughter that was Luke's (unless they say that she showed up for that reason, and then chickened out and never told him). But I don't know if they'll go down that path. But hey they might because I think the writers don't realize how obsessively their fans watch this show, and will probaby be like, "Eh, they probably forgot about Rachel by now." and throw that in there.
Unless you're saying that Luke had a one night stand after Rachel left the first time (I hope not!), or had another relationship that they've never mentioned before. That would be interesting. The more I think about this, the more interested I get.
